In an acquisition by the Leeds-based AMT group, Redline Specialist Cars – one of the UK’s largest independent car dealers – has officially merged with AMT Auto, the multi-faceted vehicle solutions provider. This strategic alliance brings together two highly experienced and well-established businesses, creating a powerful force in the nationwide vehicle market.

The merger creates significant synergies, leveraging the power of Redline's used car retailing and purchasing operations with AMT Auto's comprehensive leasing, rental, subscription, insurance and finance services. Their combined market presence will unlock new opportunities for both businesses.

Founded in 1995 as a one-man leasing brokerage with a vision to provide a one-stop shop for vehicle supply, AMT Auto has grown into a £60 million enterprise providing a complete range of vehicle and mobility solutions for businesses and  consumers, and employing over 220 people across the UK. The company is a prominent supporter of Yorkshire sport, sponsoring Leeds United, Leeds Rhinos, and Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Redline Specialist Cars, established just outside Leeds in 1997 with a 25 car forecourt, now sells over 2,000 prestige and performance vehicles nationwide annually, and is one of the UK’s top 50 dealers by revenue*.

Both AMT Auto and Redline Specialist Cars will continue to operate under their own brand names from their respective locations.
